TEMPO.CO, Pekanbaru - General Crimes Directorate of Riau have exposed an online prostitution business that involves underage children in Pekanbaru. Police caught three pimps and five victims (women). “The online prostitution business is controlled through a Facebook account,” Riau General Crimes Directorate chief sr. com. Surawan said Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
The three apprehended pimps are the citizens of Pekanbaru; RP/Edo (20), FW/Odi, and N (female). According to Surawan, the syndicate was exposed after the police conducted a Cyber Patrol.
The police found out the Facebook account and pretended as a consumer. The police then caught the suspect Edo at a hotel in Pekanbaru on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
The police secured two underage women that were going to be traded, namely G, 17 years old, and D, 15 years old. The two underage women are citizens of Pekanbaru. They dropped out of school and did not work. Both of them were offered at Rp3 million.
The officers confiscated evidence of a cash of Rp6 million that is allegedly collected from the transaction. From the suspects, the police also caught a drug dealer who brought five pills of ecstasy at the Amera Hotel yard, Pekanbaru.
