TEMPO.CO, Jakarta- Kasenan, Head of the Kediri Public Works Service, East Java, hit four other road users on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. Instead of stopping to help, Kasenan tried to hide his tracks by removing the license plates of the car he was driving.
The incident started when the Toyota Kijang Innova driven by Kasenan lost control while driving through the village of Gogorante, Ngasem District, Kediri. The car hit a three-wheel motor carriage travelling on the opposite direction, throwing Ubaidilah, driver of the carriage, into the air.
The car did not stop and hit a motorcycle located behind the motor carriage, severly injuring Sukirwan (53-years old), Siti Maisaroh (46-years old)), and Iqbal (8-years old). “There were no casualties in the incident.” said Sugeng, an eyewitness to the incident.
Sugeng stated that the car was travelling on a high speed before hitting the victims. Sugeng added that the victims have received medical treatment treated at the Baptist Hospital of Kediri.
Apip Permana, Head of Public Relations of Kediri Regional Government confirmed that the driver of the car was indeed a government official.
