TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police will file a protest to Pokémon Go developer Niatic and Google via Communication and Informatics Ministry. Jakarta Police Public Relations Division chief Sr. Comr. Awi Setiyono said Jakarta Metro Police has bemoaned the large number of pokestops in its headquarters.
“There are a lot of pokestops in police headquarters, such as in front of [the office of] human capital division, special crime unit, mosque, helipad, traffic department, mushala, TMC park. It’s not right, we have many secrets here,” Awi told Tempo, Thursday 11, August, 2016.
Awi has expressed his objection to the idea of playing Pokemon Go at Jakarta Police vital areas, citing possible breach of classified data at Police Headquarters as well as other agencies by external parties.
“We don’t want to be caught napping, nor to see people sneaking around here. It could be exploited by those who are unauthorized [to enter the headquarters],” he said.
