Minister: Terminal 3 Ultimate to be Completed in March 2017

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang-Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi said that Terminal 3 Ultimate at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is not 100 percent finished. But he claims that it can start operational today, August 9, 2016.
Budi added that Terminal 3 Ultimate will fully be finished in March 2017, complete with people mover and airport train.
The terminal is a means to improve passenger service. With Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, Soekarno-Hatta Airport can take on 65 million people per year, as each terminal can take 40 million people, while the terminal 3 can take 25 million people.
He added that domestic flight will take place in Terminal 3 eventually. Then within a month, the terminal will serve Garuda Indonesia international flight. Later in November, the Sky Team will also move to the Terminal 3 Ultimate.
"In March 2017, all international flights can move here (Terminal 3)," he said.
Meanwhile, the first flight from Terminal 3 took place on Monday early morning, heading to Papua, and the first arrival was from Palembang.
