TEMPO.CO, Ternate - Mount Gamalama in Ternate, North Maluku, has been on alert, as its volcanic activity has increased. On Tuesday, it has propelled a column of smokes, heading south to Ternate.

Darno La Mane, Head of Mount Gamalama observation post said that the increasing activity has been visible for the past week. The volcanic symptoms have been a regular events, and tremors have begun to increase in number.
Mount Gamalama is one of volcanoes in North Maluku. There are at least 300 thousand residents living on the mount.
