Cited from its official website Spotify.com, today, the company led by Daniel Ek declared its arrival in Indonesia. "We're finally here! Follow us on FB and IG at @SpotifyID and SpotifyLife on Snapchat! #WaktunyaSpotify," Spotify Indonesia tweeted on its Twitter account @SpotifyID on Wednesday, March 30.
Spotify is available in Google Playstore and AppStore. The company provides millions of songs for its users and the users will be facilitated with a ready-to-use playlist collected by fans and experts. The customer will also be able to listen to this week’s latest singles and albums as well as checking at 50 music charts.
In Indonesia, Spotify will compete with Apple Music, Deezer, Guvera, and homegrown service like MelOn and joint venture company; PT Telkom and SK Telkom South Korea.
Before Indonesia, Spotify has already entered Philippines’ market in April 2014. Spotify’s arrival in Indonesia is a restart from its appearance in the Asian market. With its total population of about 250 million people, Indonesia is considered as a strategic point to start a business in Asia.
