TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - In the quarter-century of its musical journey, Twilite Orchestra held a concert entitled A Tribute to John Williams. The leader of the orchestra, Addie M.S calls the orchestra’s 25-years journey as something special.
“When starting Twilite 25 years back, I was not sure if Twilite would survive. I once thought that it would not last long,” Addie said between the concert at Aula Simfonia Jakarta, Kemayoran.
“But 25 years later, Twilite is still standing.”
The concert was opened with theme song of the film “Superman”. The heroic song was presented in marcato.
Then, soundtracks from a number of films followed the song such as ‘Hymn to The Fallen’ from the film ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and ‘E.T Selections’ from the blockbuster ‘E.T’. Violinist Michele Siswanto also charmed audiences with theme song from Schindler’s List.
Three choir groups namely Twilite Chorus, PSM Mercubuana, and PS Gita Suara Atma Jaya joined the festivity by singing Hymn to The Fallen and Somewhere in My Memory.
