TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama said that Japanese company MORI agreed to provide an assistance to develop a flyover extension project in Semanggi.
"The groundbreaking of the project will be kicked off in April, and it will be fully operational in 2017," Ahok said at the City Hall on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
Ahok admitted that he had directly asked MORI to finance the whole project as a compensation to increase the building floor coefficient (KLB).
Ahok revealed that he would issue a gubernatorial regulation on procedures of KLB payment to avoid any misuse of KLB compensation. Ahok hoped that the regulation would help with the KLB addition process.
The Semanggi flyover extension project was aimed at facilitating motorists and cars from Cawang or Slipi heading to Bundaran HI and Blok M to directly make a U-turn in Semanggi. The circle-shaped flyover would provide access for vehicles from Blok M to Cawang without passing Jalan Gatot Soebroto.
