TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) said that it wanted to create a better synergy with the government, especially with the Finance Ministry to develop sharia banks.
"We want the Finance Ministry to give more tax incentives to sharia banks,” said OJK Shariah Bank Director Dhani Gunawan Idhat on Saturday (21/11).
Dhani also said that currently, the synergy between OJK and the government to build shariah financial industries had not been optimal yet.
"The tax is now 20 percent. We hope it will be reduced to 10 percent to attract more funs to sharia banks,” he added.
