Kalla: APEC Cooperation Can Improve Economic Condition

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf Kalla said that the Asia-Pacifc Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit can hopefully improve economic conditions in Asia Pacific. "All regions are experiencing economic slowdown. What we are expecting is that how this cooperation can improve productivity, increase purchasing power, expand market and raise investment," said Kalla in Jakarta on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

Kalla will be flying to the Philippines to attend the APEC summit. Kalla said that the summit would mostly discuss economic issues, economic cooperation and increased trade and investment.

Kalla will be attending the event to represent President Joko Widodo who supposed to attend the summit. The 2015 APEC summit will focus on the development of environmentally friendly products.
