TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - IT company Google and Intel will be involved in the computer-based National Examination (CBT) 2016, particularly in remote areas. "We agree to make a pilot program with Google and Intel for national examination in remote area," said Ananto Seta from the Education Ministry on Wednesday, November 11.

"It will be in the middle of forest at a big island like Kalimantan, and remote areas like in Papua," he said.

The new program will be integrated with the newly established Google baloon, which aims to help spread internet connection.

"Intel will provide the device. Give the fact that remote areas have limited infrastruture, we will build solar panel," he said. "If it can be done in remote areas. It can be done in the areas with better infrastructure."

The CBT (computer based test) started in 2015 and followed by 500 schools in Indonesia. In 2016, there are around 2,000 schools applying to be involved in the CBT.
