TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The Parliament Court of Honor (MKD) held a hearing on allegations of code violations committed by two leaders of the House, Setya Novanto and Fadli Zon on Monday, October 12.

However, until the closed court hearing was held, both Setya Novanto and Fadli Zon were nowhere to be seen.Based on information obtained by Tempo, Setya Novanto and Fadli Zon have other agendas.

Member of the MKD, Junimart Girsang said this is the second time the two leaders of the House did not answer summons of the MKD.

Other MKD members, Sufmi Dasco said if for the third time Setya and Fadli do not attend the code of ethics hearing, MKD will take action which will be decided in the plenary meeting of members.

Setya and Fadli were reported by members of the House from PDIP, Adian Napitupulu, Budiman Sudjatmiko, Charles Honoris, and Rieke Diah Pitaloka, because of them attending a political campaign of a US presidential candidate, Donald Trump.

The presence of both men at the campaign was not in the agenda of their visit in America. The alleged code of ethics violations arise when, Donald Trump introduced them as members of the Indonesian Parliament who support the US presidential candidacy.
