TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Due to lack of garbage truck, trashes are piling up along East Flood Canal (KBT).
"Honestly, we still need more garbage trucks. You know, there are merely 8 fleets in Water Board's Cleanliness Management Unit (UPK) in East Jakarta,” said Head of UPK's Task Force Region I for Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Mahmudin, Wednesday (9/30).
Mahmudin conveyed per sub-district should have two fleets. “At least 2-3 fleets are provided in each sub-district. Hopefully, it could be realized soon,” he uttered.
He continued that trash pile is caused by trash transportation that takes a long time until two days.
"We have difficulties to transport trash. If our truck is adequate, all will go according to expectations," he argued,
