TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi said that Indonesia is ready to help Saudi Arabian Government in identifying victims of Mina Tragedy. Spokesman for the Ministry, Arrmanatha Nasir, said that Indonesia has taken “constructive measures”, in accordance to the president’s instruction.
Delivered before Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Adel al-Jubair and United Nation councils, the offer was well-received. “Minister (al-Jubair) welcomes our offer,” he said.
Arrmanatha added that identification and investigation are the two most important things to do at the moment. “Investigation is still underway. We still have some Indonesian hajj pilgrims missing,” he said.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Wednesday, September 30, recorded 57 Indonesian citizens killed in the incident while scores still missing.
