TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Beach Jazz which is held by regional government of Banyuwangi, East Java, on Saturday Night, September 12, brought out complete music variants from traditional, 80s romance, and present hits. The fourthly-held jazz event was performed on a giant 30x14-meter stage on the sand of Boom Beach.
To counter the power of wind speed, 200,000 megawatts sound system was used. The event kick started at 19.00 with performance of 20 Gandrung Banyuwangi dancers, followed by Jazz Shalawat, performed by 100 rebana players.
National jazz singers and musicians such as Shena Malsiana, Marcell Siahaan, Citra Scholastika, Once Mekel, and popular 80s singer Vina Panduwinata took turn in claiming the stage to entertain audiences.
IKA NINGTYAS
