TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Public Information Unit at the Police HQ, Brigadier General Agus Rianto, said that Indonesia is secured on the independence day. He claimed that there is no significant disturbance on regional level until recently.
"I have not received any reports of disturbance," he said on Monday, August 17.
Agus added that the police have anticipated potential threats, such as the recent arrest on Solo that saw three ISIS-associated suspects. "We performed routine security. It means that the police never stopped operating," he said.
Moreover, Agus said that the police are also stand by to help secure the traffic. Amid the big day, traffic is likely less crowded than any other Mondays.
