TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A member of the legislative body for the House of Representatives (DPR), Muslim Ayub, said that the lack of performances of DPR members, including in completing the draft bill, is due to fasting.
“This year’s fasting is not optimal for doing activities. There are many obstacles during this fasting month. Friends performing task in the legislative body and commission are hampered,” Muslim Ayub said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
“After Eid, the work performance of board members can be optimized,” he said.
Other factors that causes lack of performance of DPR members are having two or more positions at other department.
However, what has been made a task and has been ordered by the House of Representatives chairman will be implemented as well as possible.
From the 39 draft bills that are included in the 2015 National Legislative Program priority, only two laws have been completed, they are the election and the local government law.
