Transportation Ministry: Lion Air Resumes Flights

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Special Staff for Public Information Transparency Affairs of the Transportation Ministry Hadi Mustofa Djuraid said that Lion Air have resumed its flights.
According to Hadi, all Lion Air flights are back to normal after the airline cancelled all flights from 7pm until 12pm on Friday, 20 February 2015.
"All the flights have been resumed since Saturday,” Hadi said.
Asked whether all the passengers had received refunds, Hadi answered diplomatically: "One thing for sure, we oblige the airline to settle all the matters.”
In the meantime, Lion Air Operational Director Daniel Putut confirmed that Lion Air flights have resumed since 5:30am on Saturday and that there are no stranded passengers because of the Friday flight delays.
"Everything is back to normal. Passengers affected by the flight delays on Friday have now been flown,” he said, adding that 2,500 passengers who were stranded on Friday had received refunds, relaxation services, and free tickets.
Daniel further said that on Saturday, Lion Air operated 425 domestic flights and added that 95 Lion Air aircrafts are ready to be operated.
He also said that several aircrafts that were under maintenance on Friday are now back in operation.
