ILO Director General to Visit Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Manpower Minister Hanif Dhakiri said International Labour Organization (ILO) director general Guy Ryder will visit Indonesia in December. “Peter said ILO director general will visit Indonesia next month,” said Hanif on Monday, referring to Peter van Rooij, ILO director for Indonesia and Timor Leste.

Peter conducted a short visit to Hanif’s office on Monday. He said Indonesia is an important country for ILO and hoped that under the new government, there would be better cooperation.

“The visit by ILO director general will hopefully produce good results,” said Peter.

Peter added that Guy Ryder’s visit aims to enhance cooperation in creating work fields, harmonious industrial relations and social protection.
