TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Election Commission (KPU) has announced that pairs of president and vice president candidate could still change before June 1. Such changes could happen if the pairs nominated by the political parties do not meet the requirements.

"There will be meeting here on June 1 for determination of the sequence numbers for each president and vice president candidate. This will be done if there are no changes in vice president nomination," said KPU Commissioner, Hadar Navis Gumay in front of pilitical party representatives and press on Friday.

If there are changes in candidates nomination, Hadar said, there will be a re-test for medical condition and it may cause delay to the determination until June 10.

The requirements that should be met by the candidates include health requirement, resignation requirement, and others. These are subjects to changes during the final verification process on May 28 to May 31.

The registration for candidates is open starting from today until May 20, at 08:00 to 16:00 local time.
