Sriwijaya Air Expands Flight Services

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sriwijaya Air airline will improve its services in the eastern Indonesia regions by increasing the frequency of the Makassar-Merauke and Makassar-Luwuk round-trip routes to accommodate the increasing number of passengers in the region.
"This is our first step in satisfying customers' demands for these routes," said Agus Soedjono, senior corporate communications manager of Sriwijaya Air on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Previously, the Makassar-Merauke round-trip route is accommodated via Timika and Jayapura once a day. However, currently there are options for direct flight three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Meanwhile, the Makassar-Luwuk round-trip route that was previously available once a day, will be available two times a day on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
