TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After being satirized a few times by other Presidential candidates, this time Joko Widodo - famously known as Jokowi, the Presidential candidate from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) satirized a few Presidential candidates who he thinks has advantages.
"Go ahead and make fun of me, it’s alright," said Jokowi at the City Hall, yesterday. But the truth is, according to Jokowi, he wanted to campaign in television. "I have no television, a newspaper and money."
Forming a public opinion can also be done without having to advertise in the media, especially with a tendentious message and attacking other parties, according to him. "We want to educate the community in a good way," said Jokowi. "Is there any advertisment with my photograph in it? Not with another legislative candidate, but me alone. No. If the party wants to make an advertisement, that’s alright, but to date, my face has never been seen."
Jokowi says that he could have advertisements in the newspaper, radio, television or online medias. "But I have no money [to advertise himself]," he said.
