New Car for Express Taxi Fleet

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk, operator of Express Taxi, operates their new fleet. After years of using sedans, Express taxis now operates in Toyota Etios city car to serve customers around the region.
According to the Operational Director of Express Transindo Utama, Herwan Gozali, the company will use 2,000 Toyota Etios. The use of Toyota Etios as a taxi, is based on the comprehensive survey that shows few advantages, one of them are the spare parts that can be easily get.
"Even the fuel consumption is efficient, whereas drivers won't have to spend much when operating it," he said in a written statement, Monday, March 17 2014.
Herwan said that Toyota Etios taxi fleet will run at lower rate to attract customers. Customers will be billed Rp6,000 for initial rate and Rp3,000 for every kilometer. "We are proud that customers satisfy with our new fleet," he added.
Today, Express Group operates more than 9,200 taxi units in Medan, Greater Jakarta area, Semarang and Surabaya. Within this taxi fleets are 108 units of Tiara Express, premium taxis with Toyota Alphard and Mercedex Benz Viano that operates in Jakarta. Express also operates Value Added Transportation Business (VATB) which consist of rental services, limousines and bus rental services.
