TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Students of Bukateja High School, Purbalingga, has produced a short movie entitled "Apa Aku Gila" (Have I Gone Mad). The students who worked together in an extracurricular activity named Sabuk Cinema only spent one day to produce the film, which is an adaptation from a same-titled short story written by Lisanggeni Panggayuh.

"The short story had won the first place of 2014 Purbalingga Youth Story Competition (SCMP) which was held by Purbalingga Writing Class," said Tito Firesta Yonara, the script writer and cameraman of the film.

The film depicts a story of a youngster named Dirman, who is struggling to help a beautiful girl that is held captive by two men in the jungle. Dirman is trying to catch up the kidnappers with his bicycle. Tito said that it was not easy to turn the written story into a visual motion, but he and his friends are determined to repeat the success that they had achieved two years ago.

The extracurricular team of Bukateja High School had previously made a documentary film entitled "Angguk" (The Nod). The team is planning to submit both of their movies to Banyumas Raya students film competition in 2014 Purbalingga Film Festival (FFP).
