TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Senior Vice President Opera Software Asia, Fabrizio Caruso, stated that Opera Mini is the most popular browser in Indonesia.
"Opera Mini is popular because it can be used on a smartphone and on an average cellular phone," said Caruso in Jakarta yesterday. He mentioned that, first, Opera Mini is capable to compress up to 90 percent of an original file. "It can save data use up to 94 percent," he said.
Second, Opera Mini can adjust the internet network speed, so users need not to worry about accessing internet in a slow network speed. Additionally, the browser enables users to customize file downloads by providing menus to start or to stop a download while browsing the internet.
The latest feature, Speed Dial, enables instant access to websites. "Users can add their favorite sites to be accessed instantly," said Caruso.
