TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Nokia is reportedly preparing to launch its first Android phone called Normandy. The Wall Street Journal wrote the phone will be introduced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on February 24.
Normandy will run on Microsoft-modified Android which enables this phone to run both Android and Microsoft apps.
The Verge reported leaks by Nokia regarding the launch of Normandy. The Finland-based company has scheduled an event in MWC and Normandy is rumored to be changed to Nokia X.
This product can be categorized as a beginner smartphone with affordable price, which still remains unsaid. Its appearance is a mix between Android and Windows Phone.
This device has 4GB memory card and runs on 521 MB RAM.
Despite its low price, this phone has a wide selection of apps such as Twitter, Facebook, BlackBerry Messenger, Skype and Vine. Another prominent feature is the dual SIM card which is popular among Asian and European smartphone users.
Besides Nokia, Samsung is also rumored to bring a surprise in MWC. The tech giant will introduce the new Galaxy S5 which is marketed to be its most sophisticated product in 2014.
