Merpati Looks Forward to Serve Jeddah Route

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Merpati Nusantara Airlines expressed its optimism to gain operational partnership with Amagedon Ltd. Merpati CEO Asep Ekanugraha, saw a potential of serving fligth routes from and to Jeddah as Merpati once served international flight.
Therefore, Asep denied that Merpati is lacking international flight experience. He also argued that Merpati once flew to countries like Philippine, Australia, and United States. The partnership with Amagedon will provide Merpati with budget and planes. While Merpati, on the part of the deal, provided supporting facility such as flight training and certification.
Currently, Merpati is waiting for a green light from the Transportation Ministry as well as the government's approval.
