TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Agency Chief Udar Pristono said the launch of Busway-Integrated City Buses (BKTB) for Tanah Abang - Kalibata route is delayed until next week to optimize the operation of the bus which is aimed at middle-class citizens.
"The inauguration is next week," Udar told Tempo on yesterday. "This is to optimize the armada operation."
Jakarta governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo inaugurated BKTB for the route of Pantai Indah Kapuk - Monas (National Monument) yesterday. The Jakarta provincial government initially planned on inaugurating BKTB Tanah Abang-Kalibata route at the same time, but due to the route optimilization consideration, BKTB Tanah Abang-Kalibata route has been delayed until next week.
There will be 12 buses a day with waiting interval of ten minutes per bus.
