TEMPO.CO, London – Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho, won the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Tribute Award. The manager from Portugal was a guest of honor at the FWA gala held at the London's Savoy Hotel, few hours after driving Chelsea to win 3-1 against Manchester United, on Sunday.
Mourinho was considered to be the right person to receive the award. He won two English Premier titles in two consecutive seasons with Chelsea, had a treble winner with Inter Milan, and brought Real Madrid to win a Spanish League title.
"Without love and happiness, I could not do my job," said the 50-year-old man, as reported by Sky Sports.
The former Porto Manager also thanked people who have assisted him in his achievement.
"My assistant [coaches] are like my brothers, Frank [Lampard] represents my players, without whom I have no career, and Mr. [Louis] van Gaal, Mr. [Bobby] Robson, my Bosses," said the best manager in 2010.
