TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo showed some real racing skills when he won MotoGP: San Marino, yesterday, September 15, 2013. The defending champion defated his main competitor in the race, Honda's starlet Marc Marquez.
Despite starting in the second pole, Lorenzo hit the gas early, over taking Marquez by 1.2 second. Since then, the Spaniard never saw a single tail light.
San Marino series also proved that the race belonged to two factories, Yamaha and Honda. Two Yamaha racers, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi finished in the first and fourth respectively. While the second and third belonged to Honda's Mark Marquez and Dani Pedrosa.
The result, however, put Lorenzo in the second of the standings, 34 points below Marquez that sit tight with 253 points. The defending champion is also threatened by Pedrosa, having had the same points, 219.
