TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A 19-year-old Palestinian was shot to death by Israeli forces near the Jenin refugee camp at the West Bank on Tuesday, August 20, at dawn. The incident will inevitably affect the upcoming peace talk between Palestine and Israel. A Palestinian medical officer informed that there are two other people injured in the incident. "One of them is critically injured," the officer said.
Doctors at the Jenin hospital informed that Majed Lahlouh, the 19-year-old boy, died because a bullet penetrated his heart.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the incident started when Israeli army entered the narrow streets of the Jenin refugee camp to arrest a local resident. In response to the arrest, the local youths started to throw stones against the army personnel, who retaliates by opening fire.
