TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - 'Metamorph', a painting of three women - an alien women, an urban women, and a traditional dancer, created by Dina was displayed at the Independent Art Space & Management Yogyakarta during an art exhibition event titled 'Urbanterestrial'. The painting is part of a art collection that describes urban alienation.
Dina mentioned that the alien object is her own imitation and interpretation of alienation. She considered that urban people have lost their cultural identity, having chained themselves to social media instead. The urban generation can interact without meeting people directly. "They tend to alienate themselves," she explained.
Dina also presented several satirical works like 'Te Las Dahar', a parody of Da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'. Curator Angga Wijaya later explained that 'Te Las Dahar' expressed how urban people have alienated local and traditional foods.
