TEMPO.CO, Semarang - The regional representatives of Indonesian Ombudsman (ORI) Central Java officially opened a monitoring and reporting of coordinating post on Friday, June 21, as a response to the process of Student Enrollment (PPDB). This post would work together with volunteers from independent agencies and journalists.
"However, individuals could file a report directly should they feel treated unfairly during the enrollment process," said the head of representation office of ORI Central Java, Achmad Zaid, during the launching of the reporting post.
The post was to respond to a number of abuses and violation of the enrollment regulations happened quite often. "Our post opens from June 21 until July 15, when new students start schooling," said Achmad.
He said further, that it is to anticipate any illegal fee imposed to student candidates during the enrollment. "Ombudsman team would conduct investigations or direct monitoring at schools," he said. Achmad hopes this post receives positive response from the people by not hesitating to file a report should there be any violations happening to them.
