TEMPO.CO, Fortaleza – Two fiery underdogs, Mexico and Japan were disappointed after their attempt to subdue two football giants in the 2013 Confederation Cup resulted in misery.
Mexico would have to pack their bags earlier after being defeated 2-0 by Brazil, followed by Japan after their effort to humiliate Italy ended up in a 4-3 victory for the Azzuri.
Wonderboy Neymar Junior, crowned as the man of the match, said that his impressive play was motivated by the ongoing riot in Brazil. Thousands of local residents went on the streets to protest the Brazilian government for prioritizing the Confederation Cup and the World Cup tournaments rather than public welfare.
Italy, on the other hand, was having a difficult time to compete with the Samurai Blue and have to close the first half with a 2-1 score with the Japanese leading the match. However, the Japanese fierce determination went on without luck when Italy managed to turn the match in their favor, resulting in a 4-3 victory.
With the results, Italy will have to face Brazil on Saturday. The match will determine the first and runner-up group winner.
