Indonesia's Bonds Most Vigorous in Asia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's corporate bonds in the first quarter of 2013 has grown by 26.9 percent. The growth was accommodated by the increasing demand for corporate funding to support business expansion and debt payments.
Asia Development Bank recorded that the corporate bonds growth in March 2013 has reached 26.9 percent or US$20 billion year on year. The issuance of corporate bonds are dominated by banking sectors and financial institutions.
Indonesia's corporate bonds market is the fastest growing market in Asia followed by China at 25.3 percent. Furthermore, state bonds market has grown by 11.6 percent to US$98 billion in the same period.
