TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Prosperity and Justice Party (PKS) failed to report the ten members of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who intended to confiscate vehicles at the party’s headquarters (DPP PKS). After spending a day at the detective and criminal unit at the National Police headquarters, the PKS instead reported the KPK spokesperson Johan Budi S.P.
The PKS’s attorney, Fauzan Muslim, stated that they reported Johan Budi for violating Article 310 of the Criminal Code on defamation of character.
Fauzan stated that Johan Budi disgraced DPP PKS’s name through his statements to several media organizations claiming that the KPK team intended to confiscate vehicles at the DPP PKS office yet failed to do so because they were obstructed by security officials at the office on Tuesday, May 7.
"The fact is, the KPK only came bringing an official letter to summon Anis Matta," Fauzan told Tempo over the telephone on Monday night.
