TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of Indonesian horror films will be screened at IMAX Theater, Keong Emas, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), in the Scream Fest Indonesia event held for the first time, from December 16 to January 1, 2019.
“We want to give you the extraordinary experience of watching horror films through the IMAX screen, which is 3 times the size of a conventional cinema screen,” said Director of PT Media 8, Amirullah, the organizer of the Scream Fest Indonesia, at TMII, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
The atmosphere in the area around the Keong Emas Theater will show various attractions of horror-themed creativity, including a Haunted House, bazaar, culinary, meeting the Horror Community, and other exciting things.
“Scream Fest Indonesia is a form of appreciation for the rise of Indonesian films, especially from the horror genre. The film audiences are now getting smarter and tend to have high standardization,” Amirullah said.
The horror films that will be screened are “Danur”, “Nini Thowok”, “7 Bidadari”, “The Promise”, “Sajen”, “Keluarga Tak Kasat Mata”, “The Returning”, “Ghost Diary”, “Ular Tangga”, “Alas Patih”, “Sumiati”, and “Jangan Dengerin Sendiri”.
The screening schedule is 3 times a day, namely at 5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. For the New Year’s Eve, there will be four times. The seating capacity at Keong Mas is 800 for economy class and 36 for VIP/Balcony class, with an average ticket price of Rp35,000.
