TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta provincial administration has received Bhumandala Kanaka Award from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. The coordinating minister Darmin Nasution honored the award to Governor Anies Baswedan.
“With this policy [Geoportal One Map], we can prevent overlapping uses of land spaces,” said President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo while delivering the award titled Geopartal One Map Policy in Bidakara Hotel in South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 11.
The event is attended by five governors and seven mayors from various Indonesian regions. Transportation Minister Budi Karya, Land and Spatial Planning Minister Sofyan Djalil, House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Bambang Soesatyo, and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani also present the event.
The capital city wins the Bhumandala Kanaka Award for its active, well-operational network development. Besides, the high-scale of National Geospatial Information Network (JIGN) in Jakarta is in line with the geospatial reference that must involve many regional organizations (OPD) with data transfer which is running smoothly and openly.
The system development of JIGN is also based on the Home Affairs Minister’s Circular Letter No. 503/685A/SJ dated February 2, 2018, concerning the preparation of infrastructure and network of the one map policy for regional administration.
The letter stipulates regional heads including Anies Baswedan must assign OPD technical unit as the node for the project development of geospatial information network to reach the action planning target of One Map Policy.
Therefore, with JIGN, the regional administration is expected to support the mechanism of data and information transfer on geospatial, so that it will improve the government’s work starting from planning until the decision making process.
