TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorological, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts heavy rain and thunder will hit several areas in South Jakarta today, December 7.
“Beware of potential rain with strong lightning/thunder in South Jakarta areas between today afternoon and evening,” BMKG said in its official website on Friday, December 7.
In addition to the warning, BMKG outlines weather forecast for all regions of the capital city throughout the day.
According to the agency, on Friday morning, rain will shower North Jakarta and Seribu Island, while other regions such as West Jakarta, South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and some part of North Jakarta will be cloudy.
In the afternoon, rain will fall in West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta, while clouds will overcast the other three regions.
Further, potential rain will occur in Seribu Island in the evening. But in midnight, BKMG predicts all Jakarta areas will be cloudy. The city’s air temperature will be around 23-32 degrees Celsius with a 74-100 percent humidity.
