Rupiah Exchange Rate in Jisdor Drops to Rp14,764 per USD

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The rupiah exchange rate to the US dollar decreased today, Thursday, November 15. On the official website of Bank Indonesia, the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate or Jisdor noted the rupiah exchange rate to the US dollar was Rp14,764.
This number showed a decrease of 9 points from yesterday, at Rp14,755. Whereas on November 15, the selling rate of US$1 to the rupiah, was Rp14,838 and the buying rate was Rp14,690.
The exchange rate of Rp15,000 per US dollar first occurred on October 3. While in the movement on Friday, November 2, it was Rp14,000.
The Panin Sekuritas analyst William Hartanto previously predicted the rupiah would increase today. William estimate that the rupiah will move in the range of Rp14,680 to Rp14,770 per US dollar.
“The market players await the interest rate decision, the rupiah is predicted to increase,” William said when contacted on Thursday, November 15.
According to William, the market players expect Bank Indonesia to maintain its reference interest rate. Today, Bank Indonesia will disclose the results of the November 2018 BI Board of Governors Meeting related to the assessment of the economy in Quarter III-2018.
The Bank Mandiri money market analyst Reny Eka Putri estimated that the rupiah will move in the range of Rp14,495 to Rp14,676 per US dollar.
