TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Drivers of the public minivan, locally known as angkot, in Tanah Abang revoked the civil lawsuit against Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. The plaintiff`s attorney Desnadya said the city administration had reopened the road of Jl. Jatibaru Raya, Tanah Abang.
“As legal proceedings progress, Jakarta provincial administration opens the road,” said Desnadya in Central Jakarta Court District, Tuesday, Oct 30.

Nadya explained the drivers who were beset due to the road closure could continue their work following the opening of Jl. Jatibaru Raya.
The city administration, Nadya added, had again closed the road since Oct 17, 2018. However, the city officials said the temporary closure was imposed for the public safety since the construction of the sky bridge project was still underway and that heavy tools still entered the site.

According to Nadya, such closure was not a violation, compared to the last one which was valid for commercial purposes that letting street vendors run the business on the sidewalk. “Therefore, the case is closed,” she noted.
