Marina Del Ray Lombok Officially Opens for International Yacht

TEMPO.CO, Mataram - Transportation Ministry has officially designated Marina Del Ray, Gili Gede waters, Sekotong District, Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province as the special tourism terminal for international yachts.
“We have received the letter from the ministry on Friday, Oct 19, in Jakarta,” said Puri Yusuf, SH, General Manager of PT Marina Del Ray, in Mataram, Tuesday, Oct 23. The decision of Marina Del Ray for the transit and docking of yachts was regulated in the Transportation Ministerial Decree No. 1704/2018.
According to Puri, foreign tourists yacht could enter Gili Gede waters without warrantor in advance as previously regulated. No examination required in East Nusa Tenggara and Bali should tourists planned to visit Lombok Island. They could sail to Lombok without having transit in other provinces. The examination would later be handled by Customs in Marina Del Ray.
The ease, Puri explained, would further attract foreign tourists sailing the yacht to explore Lombok Island.
West Lombok Mayor H. Fauzan Khalid, meanwhile, expressed his appreciation of the policy issued by the Transportation Ministry.
