TEMPO.CO, Kupang - West Manggarai Regent Agustinus Ch Dula said the Labuan Bajo tourism area was ready to welcome the participants of the IMF-World Bank annual meeting in Bali after the event is over.
“Labuan Bajo is ready to welcome the guests from IMF-World Bank meeting. It is expected to be attended by thousands of people,” he said when contacted from Kupang, Tuesday, October 9.
The West Manggarai administration has repaired the roads, sidewalks, and streetlights. It has also set the clean water, the locations for culinary tourism and waste management.

“The hotels that have been operating are also ready. There is one international hotel, namely Ayana Hotel which has been completed and has been operating,” he said.
According to Agustinus, if the lodging facilities cannot accommodate all the guests, they can use a cruise carried by the delegates from Bali.
He hoped that the infrastructures could satisfy the comfort of the visitors. He also called on the locals to welcome and actively support the visit of the officials from the IMF-World Bank annual meeting. “Cleanliness must be maintained; not burning carelessly. And remain friendly to the tourists,” he said.
