TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The biggest fashion and lifestyle marketplace in South East Asia, Zilingo, entered the Indonesian market with the #SIAPASIHLO campaign earlier this year. Zilingo becomes one of the few e-commerce companies in the region that is actively investing in the partners and their growth.
Zilingo Indonesia Head of Marketplace, Melina Marpaung, stated in a press conference today, September 7, that Zilingo is fully committed to supporting local partners by announced educational scholarships to learn English for over 200 Partners from 18 provinces across Indonesia.
A Zilingo partner from Bandung, Sisilia Zulfiyantini, was one of the partners chosen for the scholarship. Sisilia owns the brand '2nd Red' that today sells only within Indonesia. “I am so happy. Our dream is to globally market our products. I hope that by learning English, I can be more confident and fluent in communicating my business outside Indonesia," she said.
“Education increases our partners' opportunity to expand their business globally," said Melina.
Zilingo is offering the same benefits to partner’s children as well. Besides English courses, Zilingo sponsors medical checkups for partners.
“Many of our partners spend all their time and money on growing their business. Healthcare is something that is often overlooked. We wanted to take the effort of ensuring that a Zilingo Partner is valued, just as much as our own team, and medical checkups and assistance with healthcare is our first step in that direction,” says Sarah Humaira, Marketing Director Zilingo Indonesia.
These local fashion partners also receive monthly training on how to use the Zilingo partner dashboard, upload products and set the right pricing. Zilingo also shares fashion trends & data on their sales, with the purpose of helping their business grow.
Partners also benefit from other services like product photoshoots, training on producing good fashion content & descriptions & growing their social media brand.
