TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned Setya Novanto's son, Rheza Herwindo, for the case of alleged bribery in the Riau-1 steam power plant construction project. Rheza, the commissioner of PT Skydweller Indonesia Mandiri will be questioned as a witness in the case.
"He will be cross-examined as a witness for suspect Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said here on Tuesday, August 28.
Rheza arrived at the KPK building around 10:00 Jakarta time, and didn’t respond to reporters' questions.
This is the second time Rheza is questioned by the KPK this week. On Monday, August 27, he was questioned about the same case for a different suspect, Idrus Marham.
Idrus is the third suspect in this case. The other suspect is DPR's Energy Commission deputy Eni Maulani Saragih.
KPK suspects that Idrus and Eni accepted Johannes's promise to smooth the project's signing.
Idrus is said to play a role in helping Blackgold won the project. The former Golkar secretary general was promised US$1.5 million by Johanes if he nabs the US$900-million project.
Setya Novanto had also been questioned in the alleged bribery case. Setya claimed he had no involvement in the project.
