Adhi Karya to Build Solo - Yogyakarta Toll Road Next Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. targets to start the construction of the Solo - Yogyakarta toll road next year. The ADHI-coded SOE will share with the Gama Group to work on the toll road that is estimated to spend an investment of Rp19 trillion.
ADHI President Director Budi Harto said that the toll road would become a new milestone for the company in the toll road business. Because so far the company has never been involved significantly in toll road investment.
Based on ADHI’s financial report, so far the company has been participating in the Bali Mandara toll road with a portion of only 2 percent. Budi said that the Solo-Yogyakarta toll road, the company controlled 40 percent of the shares, while 60 percent came from the participation of the Gama Group and other private companies.
The Gama Group engages in the property business through the Gamaland entity. The group is owned by Ganda and Martua Sitorus, owners of the Wilmar Group.
“We have proposed ourselves as a joint initiator of Gama Group and DMT (Daya Mulia Turangga). We hope that this year it (toll road project) can be auctioned, so that next year physical construction can be done,” he said, Monday, August 20.
