TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Susi Pudjiastuti is not only known for her position as Maritime and Fisheries Affairs but also a successful woman in the business sector. During a campaign dubbed #KitaSuprême organized by Head & Shoulders, Susi was named as the supreme woman for her hard works in helping to develop the nation through her business and her governance.

Susi then encouraged Indonesian women to work regardless of the fields. He said women should not be afraid to work because many have started to give appreciation. Thus, for those who yearn to enter the business world, Susi Pudjiastuti delivered suggestions that might help its success.

“The most important is to be able to manage your finance situation and be wise. Cut your coat according to your cloth,” said Susi when met after the campaign in Monas, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 31.

Well managing the finance is a key factor for a successful business. However, sometimes many women spent a lot of money when starting to run a business which leads them to have more outcome than the income.

Aside from that, Susi Pudjiastuti said another factor also has a vital impact on the business. “Always follow the customers’ need, cater them and update new products that are on demand in the market,” she explained.

In running a business, especially in the world full of modern technology, it is fundamental to seek new things in respective sectors. The business must keep up with the recent development. Hence these two points are vital to ensure that the business will run smoothly.
