TEMPO.CO, JakartaSetya Novanto's nephew Irvanto Hendra Pambudi Cahyo will attend the first indictment hearing of the e-KTP procurement scandal today. In addition to Irvanto, the Corruption Court will also hold the trial against businessman Made Oka Masagung.

"Both will be prosecuted under one indictment prepared alternatively," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah said on Sunday, July 29.

The antigraft commission named Irvanto and Made Oka as suspects of in the e-KTP corruption case on 28 February 2018.

Irvanto allegedly had followed the procurement process through his company, PT Murakabi Sejahtera. He is also suspected to have attended several meetings at the Fatmawati Ruko with a team of goods providers for the e-KTP project.

In addition, Irvanto is also suspected to have been full knowledge about the request for a 5 percent fee—to help "ease" the budgeting process. He is also charged with having received a total of US$3.5 million in kickback.

When testifying in court for another defendant, Irvanto admitted he gave money to a number of Senayan politicians. Among the names he mentioned were Chairuman Harahap, Golkar politicians Melchias Markus Mekeng and Agun Gunandjar, as well as Democrat politicians Jafar Hafsah and Nurhayati Ali Assegaf. The people have denied taking bribes.

Meanwhile, the KPK suspects Made Oka to have acted as a middleman in the e-KTP corruption for Setya Novanto.

KPK accuses Made Oka of giving the money through two companies, PT Delta Energy and OEM Investment based in Singapore. Both companies allegedly accommodated the first payment worth US$3.8 million before disbursing it to Setya. The money is part of the US$7 million bribe allegedly given to Setya to pay for his services in helping with the e-KTP project.
