TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - According to the Jakarta Metro Police Spokesman Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, police are still searching for additional pieces of evidence to investigate the alleged physical abuse conducted by member of the House of Representatives (DPR) Herman Hery against Ronny Kosasih Yuniarto and his wife, Iris Ayuningtias.

“We have received the report but we have yet to determine the suspect,” said Argo at the Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters on Friday, June 22.

As previously reported, Ronny and Iris were allegedly abused by DPR member Herman Hery and his aide who was driving a Rolls Royce with the plate number B 88 NTT at the Pondok Indah Artery Road, South Jakarta, on June 10.

According to eyewitness testimonies, the incident was sparked after Ronny’s car was stopped by traffic police for driving on the Transjakarta bus lane, which blocked Hery’s Rolls Royce that was right behind Ronny’s car.

“We will look for the CCTV recording if there is one. After that, we will know for sure who the suspect is,” said Argo Yuwono. He also said that police have garnered the eyewitness testimony from the traffic police that stopped Ronny’s car during the incident.

Following the brief brawl, Ronny sustained a broken finger, bruised head, nose, and arm. Meanwhile, his wife Iris bruised her leg, both arms, and right jaw.

Herman Hery, who is said to be a member of DPR's Commission III, was reported to the police for suspectedly abusing Ronny on Monday, June 11.
