2018 Eid; Domestic Airline Passenger Increase to 2.92 Pct

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Until D+2 of 2018 Eid al-Fitr, the total passengers of domestic airline reached up to 3.14 million, increased by 2.92 percent compared to last year at the same period. The post of shift II daily head Zulmafendi reported the data to Transportation Ministry today, June 18.

The data was collected from the 2018 Integrated Eid Posts monitoring 36 airports until June 18 at 05:18 local times. Zulmafendi stated the increased was due to the total flight at 24,738 trips which also increased by 4.45 percent than last year’s number.

On the following day of Eid, he mentioned, the number of passengers amounted to 283,066 or increased by 8.95 compared to the same day in last year. While on the D+2 of Eid, it was increased by 4.38 percent at 266,200 passengers.

Furthermore, the highest increase in domestic airline occurred on D-6 of Eid with the total of 307,152 passengers or increased by 14.09 percent compared to the same day last year.

On the other hand, the figure experienced a decrease on D-1 of Eid by 6.66 percent at 275,448 passengers compared to last year’s data at 295,111 passengers.

Per day+2 of 2018 Eid al-Fitr, Zulmafendi stated there was no severe incident happened on air transportation. “Based on officers’ observation through coordination with all parties of the post, we reported the service is going smoothly and safe in general,” he noted.
